It Started Around the Grill.
Good food. Good people. A seasoning so good everyone kept asking for the recipe.
How It Really Began
It Started With Family.
Three years ago, Mommadopoulos and I started doing something that really wasn't complicated at all.
Our son attends and wrestles at the United States Naval Academy.
And when your son is hundreds of miles from home, surrounded by teammates and shipmates whose families may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away, you don't just cook for one.
YOU FEED THE TEAM. YOU FEED THE FAMILY.
So on Navy football Saturdays, that's what we started doing.
We wanted our son and the young men around him to have a little piece of home waiting for them — a home-cooked meal, a warm smile, and a big hug.
Nothing more complicated than that.
These young men come to Annapolis from all over the country. They're going through the same demanding days together. They're training together, studying together, wrestling together, and preparing themselves for lives of service together.
Fall Saturdays became a place to gather, eat well, laugh a little, and just be together.
Of course, there was also a practical reason we chose football season.
EVERYBODY KNOWS YOU CAN'T FEED WRESTLERS DURING WRESTLING SEASON.
So when fall rolls around, we feed them while we still can.
The Table Got Bigger
The Table Got Bigger
Over the years, something wonderful happened.
It wasn't just our son and his teammates anymore.
Their parents and families joined us. Alumni came back. Friends pulled up chairs. Our wrestling family grew, and somewhere along the way, our Navy Wrestling family became part of our family.
And that's still happening today.
Three years later, when Navy football season comes around, we're still there.
The grill gets fired up. Food starts coming off. Mids wander over. Parents arrive. Alumni stop by. Friends become family.
The table just keeps getting bigger.
And somewhere during all those Saturdays, people started asking the same question:
"WHAT DID YOU PUT ON THIS BURGER?"
Then came another:
"CAN I GET SOME OF THAT?"
What started as the seasoning we put on food for our family began going home with other families.
Parents wanted some. Alumni wanted some. Friends wanted some.
Eventually, Mommadopoulos and I realized that maybe something created around our table could have a place around yours.

That's How G.O.A.T. Spice Began
That's how Popadopoulos G.O.A.T. Spice began.
Not in a boardroom.
Not from a marketing plan.
AROUND A GRILL, FEEDING PEOPLE WE CARE ABOUT.
And we're still doing it.
We're still showing up.
We're still firing up the grill.
We're still feeding our son, his teammates and shipmates, their families, our alumni, our wrestling family, and our friends.
The reason we started hasn't changed.
THE TABLE JUST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER.
Good food. Good people. A place to belong.

The Name
Why G.O.A.T.?
G.O.A.T. stands for Great On All Things. Not because we needed a clever acronym — because it's literally true. Steak, burgers, chicken, salmon, vegetables, potatoes, eggs. If you're cooking it, this blend belongs on it.
The name came naturally. We started putting it on burgers. Then brisket. Then chicken, salmon, potatoes—pretty much everything that came off the grill. Before long, calling it a 'steak spice' didn't make much sense anymore. It was Great On All Things. G.O.A.T. Spice.
One blend. Everything better.
